This policy explains what information we collect when you buy from wemakepatterns, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
1. What we collect
- Email address — entered at checkout, used to send receipts and your patterns.
- Payment information — collected and processed by our payment providers (Stripe for cards, PayPal for PayPal). We never see or store full card numbers or PayPal credentials.
- Order details — items purchased, amount, date, transaction ID.
- Browsing data — pages viewed, device type, approximate location (from IP), via cookies and analytics (see Section 5).
2. How we use it
- To deliver your purchase and send receipts.
- To provide customer support.
- To detect fraud and abuse.
- To improve our site, ads, and content.
- To send occasional product updates (you can unsubscribe at any time).
3. Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary data with the following service providers:

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (including Meta Pixel) to measure ad performance and improve the buying experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break the checkout, but it may reduce the accuracy of our ad measurement.
5. How long we keep data
Order records are kept for at least 7 years (required for tax and accounting). Marketing preferences are kept until you opt out. You can request deletion of personal data not required for legal record-keeping by emailing us.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (GDPR/CCPA/UK GDPR), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of data not required for legal records
- Opt out of marketing emails
- Object to processing for direct marketing
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

7. Children
Our products are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe we have done so, contact us and we will delete the data.
8. International transfers
Our processors (Stripe, PayPal, Meta, Google, Netlify) may transfer data to the United States and other countries. They are bound by standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version here. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for 30 days.
